About Jose

For over a decade, I have helped individuals navigate the mortgage process as a seasoned loan officer and a member of Team Hochberg since 2012. I specialize in reverse mortgages, a product I believe is often misunderstood and underrated.  I take pride in being an educator first, working to demystify these complex loans. My goal is to go beyond the numbers, providing borrowers and their families with the clarity and understanding they need to make a truly informed decision.  Before entering the mortgage industry, I had a distinguished career as a member and trader on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), where I worked from 1987 until the trading floor transitioned to electronic trading. That fast-paced, high-stakes environment gave me a unique perspective and a deep-seated appreciation for financial markets, which I now bring to every client.  When not helping homeowners, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Barbara, and our three grown children.
